Goodall City Library Internet Usage Rules
The Goodall City Library offers access to computers and the Internet to all Library patrons.
Library staff will assist whenever possible to help patrons find the information which they are seeking and will provide training on the computer and Internet when time allows.
The Internet is a global network of computers and networks over which the Library has no control. Therefore, the Library makes no warranties or representations of any nature, expressed or implied, regarding the veracity or accuracy of any message or information found on the Internet; the Library simply offers the Internet to the public for general use.
In order to maintain an orderly system of access which provides all patrons an equal and fair opportunity to use library computers for Internet access, the following rules have been adopted by the Library Board.
Patrons desiring to access the Internet must read these rules and agree to follow them.
Patrons, age 3 and older, may have access to the computers and Internet.
Parents of minor children desiring Internet access must also read and sign the rules. Please note that parents must actually come to the Library to sign the rules, the Library cannot accept a form brought from home by the minor child.
10. Illegal activities will be reported to the appropriate authorities.
The following shall apply to any patron who violates any of the rules and regulations or engages in other inappropriate use of the Internet. The Library Board will determine what constitutes inappropriate use and their decision shall be final.
First Offense: Suspension of computer and/or Internet privileges for a period of one month.
Second Offense: Suspension of computer and/or Internet privileges for a period of six months.
Third Offense: Permanent loss of Internet / computer privileges.
